Job summary

Mac-Trailer-Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a hands-on EHS professional to oversee workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and employee training at our Billings, MT facility. The role includes incident investigation, OSHA recordkeeping, and coordinating medical clearance and hearing tests.

The ideal candidate will have EH&S experience (CSP preferred) and strong communication skills to lead the Safety Committee and partner with operations on safety improvements and PPE provisioning.

• Lead safety training sessions and the Safety Committee.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and incident documentation.
• Coordinate compliance tests and PPE provisioning.
• Prepare monthly safety and accident reports.
• Assist with new employee safety orientation.

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process and manage incident reports and documentation
• Serve as lead for all compliance inspections (OSHA, Fire, EPA, etc.)
• Investigate accidents and determine countermeasures.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements and safety training records.
• Coordinate compliance tests including Medical Clearance, Hearing Tests, Air and Noise monitoring.
• Order safety supplies and provide appropriate PPE to employees.
• Generate monthly accident and safety assessment reports.
• Conduct safety training classes.
• Lead the Safety Committee.
• Assist with new employee orientation training.
• Issue disciplinary warnings and counsel employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Environment, Health, and Safety or equivalent experience preferred, but not required; CSP preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or certification preferred, but not required.
• Workers Compensation knowledge and work experience preferred, but not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
