Job summary

Chemours seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to lead safety initiatives at the Delisle site, collaborating with site leadership and regulatory agencies to drive process safety performance and continuous improvement. This role provides hands-on support across safety programs and works with cross-functional teams to meet standards.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, and serving as SME for key safety elements such as LOTO, confined space, and fall

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in a safety related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS or engineering discipline.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA General Industry, Recordkeeping, and Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Ability to interpret regulatory requirements, assess compliance risks, develop compliant safety systems, and serve as a technical resource for PSM.
• Knowledge of high hazard chemical or process safety management regulated facilities
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical problem solving for safety at high hazard chemical operations.
• Interface with site employees, leadership, regulators, and the site leadership team.
• Improve safety systems, procedures, processes, and ownership of safety management.
• Develop systems to implement and manage safety programs across the site.
• Conduct and support 1st and 2nd party safety and PSM audits.
• Participate in and facilitate incident investigations as required.
• Serve as SME and site standard owner for LOTO, Confined Space, Line and Equipment Break, Fall Protection, Ladder and Scaffold Safety.
