Job summary

Chemours in El Dorado, AR is seeking a Site Safety & Occupational Health Specialist to lead safety and health programs onsite, partnering with site management to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. You will serve as a key resource for employees and stakeholders, guiding conditions for a safe, healthy workplace.

The role focuses on OH functions, safety program maintenance, audits, PPE, HAZCOM, ergonomic coordination, process safety, and contractor safety, reporting to the Plant Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years occupational safety experience in petrochemical/chemical industries.
• Experience with OSHA regulation compliance and interpretation.
• Leadership to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Preferred CSP or ABIH/IOHA equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site safety and OH leader, advising leadership on risks and priorities.
• Lead OH compliance audits, PPE, HAZCOM, ergonomics, and SDS coordination.
• Coordinate contractor safety, emergency response and fire safety resources.
• Maintain manuals, procedures, record keeping, and health program improvements.
• Oversee Air/Noise monitoring, chemical data management, and Safety Equipment.
