Job summary

Premier Infrastructure & Energy, LLC. seeks a Safety Specialist to support the Manager of Health and Safety in preventing injuries and reducing health risks across operations. You will conduct site visits, audits, and risk mitigations while promoting a culture of safety through training and educational materials.

You will lead safety briefings, participate in group tailgates, and help develop company-wide safety initiatives, maintaining regulatory adherence and strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Proficient with computers and standard applications including Google Drive, document creation, and internet tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and presentations.
• Familiarity with OSHA and other federal, state, and municipal safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, including motivating others and delivering constructive feedback.
• Sound decision-making and analytical skills to evaluate risks and determine solutions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate workplace conditions, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Attend group tailgates to deliver safety briefings, provide written materials, and address employee safety concerns.
• Assist in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Recommend proactive safety measures to mitigate risks associated with hazardous methods, processes, or materials.
• Support and participate in the development and delivery of safety training and educational programs.
• Investigate safety and health complaints and support their resolution.
• Contribute to the design and execution of company-wide safety initiatives and programs.
