Job summary

Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs and drive compliance across agricultural operations. The role focuses on implementing policies, managing the Job Safety Analysis program, and guiding safety initiatives with a strong emphasis on training and risk control.

The ideal candidate will conduct audits, lead investigations, and coach a safety team to advance SMBSC's safety culture while ensuring regulatory adherence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing safety or leading safety committees.
• OSHA 10-hour certification; 30-hour certification preferred.
• First aid or emergency responder certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety policies, procedures and programs across SMBSC operations.
• Manage Job Safety Analysis program including documentation, risk assessment and training.
• Conduct safety audits, investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Provide safety training, coaching and guidance to employees and leadership.
