Monadnock Construction, Inc. in New York City seeks a Safety Compliance Manager to enforce safety policies, coordinate across project teams, and develop standardized information resources for project staff.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA and NYC regulations, plus the ability to lead safety planning across multiple active jobs, track incidents, and mentor on-site teams to uphold safety standards.

Formación

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a Safety role working in NYC building construction.
• Technical, Undergraduate, or Master degree in safety or related field preferred, but not required.
• NYC DOB SSC or SSM License preferred but not required.
• 32 Hr Suspended Scaffold Training and 32 Hr Supported Scaffold Training Preferred
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NYC DOB, NYC DEP, DOT, local, state and federal regulations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Work directly with Safety Team and project teams to enforce Monadnock’s safety policies.
• Work with Project Executives to ensure safety standards are consistent across all projects and increase accountability.
• Develop a standardized system of strong, relevant information on company server for project teams.
• Participate in safety pre-planning and suggest process improvements to be implemented company-wide.
• Collect, organize and distribute relevant safety information and metrics to the company.
• Assist with subcontractor safety history during selection with project teams.
• Stay up-to-date on new requirements from agencies and distribute to the company.
• Track lessons learned from incidents and near-miss investigations and share policy changes with operations staff.
• Review projects for safety concerns and align scope of work with project plans.
• Maintain communication with Project Managers about upcoming buys.
• Review insurance recommendations and implement safety responses.
• Update start-up checklists for Supers and trades with the project team.
• Attend safety pre-mobilization meetings with all trades and major high-risk trades.
• Coordinate and run meetings with Super and Trade Foreman for high-risk activities.
• Maintain communication between insurance company and Super on assigned projects.

Monadnock Construction, Inc. is a General Contractor and Construction Management firm founded in 1975. The company is a leader in the construction of quality affordable housing throughout the five boroughs. Monadnock has grown to a team of over 200 people with anywhere from 15-20 active construction jobs at any given time.

The Safety Compliance Manager’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Work directly with Safety Team and project teams to enforce Monadnock’s safety policies.
• Work with Project Executives to ensure safety standards are consistent across all projects and increase accountability.
• Work with team to develop a standardized system of strong, relevant information on company server, to be used as a resource for project teams.
• Participate in safety pre-planning process and suggest ways to improve processes to be implemented across the company.
• Collect, organize and distribute relevant safety information and metrics to company.
• Assist with subcontractor safety history during selection process with project teams.
• Keep up to date on all new requirements from agencies and ensure that they are distributed to company.
• Track any lessons learned due to incidents or near miss investigations. Work with senior management to ensure this knowledge and any policy changes are then shared with all operations staff.
• Review assigned projects for specific safety concerns. Identify with the project team to have a clear vision on the approach on the project before trades are purchased and for items that need to be included in the scopes of work.
• Maintain communication with Project Managers about upcoming buys.
• Review and monitor recommendations issued by insurance company on their web based system.
• Work with Safety team to establish specific safety plan to respond to recommendations in an effort to prevent repeats.
• Review and update start-up checklist for Supers and trades with project team as required.
• Attend safety pre mobilization meetings with all trades, especially with major and higher risk trades.
• Coordinate and run meetings with the Super and Trade Foreman for all high risks activities identified as they arise on jobs and before any work begins.
• Maintain thorough communication between insurance company and Super on assigned project. Respond to insurance recommendations from site visits in a timely fashion.

• Salary range: $100,000 - 150,000. The salary range provided reflects a base salary range only and not total compensation. The offered salary will be based on an individual's qualifications and prior work experience.
