Job summary

Performance Food Group in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Safety Manager to lead OSHA, DOT and FMCSA compliance across warehousing, transportation and distribution operations. You will partner with leaders to build a proactive, prevention‑focused safety culture that protects people, customers and the brand.

Responsibilities include developing safety programs, coaching supervisors, analyzing risk trends, conducting audits, managing claims, delivering training, and tracking KPI metrics like TRIR and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA guidance and regulations.
• Ability to professionally design and present training to small and large groups of employees.
• Proficient skills with MS Office suite - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365.
• Ability to quickly learn various custom software applications.
• Ability to analyze data and produce corrective action plans to reduce injuries and accidents.
• Work Schedule primarily normal office hours, with potential weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accident Prevention and Safety Leadership; lead accident prevention strategy and risk identification.
• Develop and implement preventability standards and corrective action plans.
• Chairs or co-chairs accident review committees with cross-functional partners.
• Analyze near-misses, driver behaviors and facility incidents to prevent accidents.
• Conduct ride-alongs, safety walks, and safety coaching with frontline supervisors.
• Lead safety initiatives such as near-miss reporting and recognition programs.
• Serve as SME during serious incidents with documentation and follow-up.
• Oversee DOT and FMCSA compliance activities including driver qualification files and inspections.
• Investigate vehicle accidents and incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Manage post-accident drug and alcohol testing programs; analyze data to identify trends.
