Job summary

AZZ Inc. in Houston West is seeking a Safety Clerk to support plant safety, reporting to the Plant Manager, and be a reliable resource for internal and external customers.

You will help implement and enforce safety programs, track training, review incident reports, and foster a culture of safe operations across shift teams. A high school diploma and 1–2 years manufacturing exposure are preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; on-site work with M–F hours.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external engagement.
• On-site work; flexible M–F 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce plant safety programs.
• Coordinate and track employee training; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with plant staff to share safety best practices and address hazards.
• Review injury reports and assist investigations; provide insights to leadership.
• Test workplaces for environmental hazards and maintain safe conditions.
