Job summary

SkyChefs is seeking a Safety Clerk in San Francisco to join the Safety team. This field-based role monitors driver compliance with SOPs and supports safety initiatives within the facility, ensuring a safe work environment and strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include SOP training for new and current drivers, maintaining driver files, processing identifications, and assisting the Ramp Safety Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.
• 3–5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible.

Role Purpose Statement

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Clerk to join our Safety team.

This is a field-based position responsible for monitoring driver compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and partnering with operational departments to ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards. The Safety Clerk will also play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by conducting safety observations, monitoring employee compliance, documenting safety concerns, and supporting ongoing safety initiatives within the facility.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of building strong working relationships with employees and leaders while promoting a positive safety culture.

Schedule: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Days Off: Sunday and Monday
