Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in Miami is seeking an on-site Safety Clerk to monitor driver SOP and support compliance while maintaining driver files and ID processing. The role includes ensuring registrations and insurance IDs are current and assisting the Ramp Safety Supervisor with clerical duties.

A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required, with the ability to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP seal within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
• 3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
• Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
• Bilingual, Spanish Speaking a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver SOP training and ensure compliance with department standards
• Maintain and update driver files and documentation
• Process Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure trucks have valid State registrations and Insurance IDs
• Enforce A-1 Inspection procedures for drivers
• Assist Ramp Safety Supervisor and perform additional clerical duties as required

Role Purpose Statement

Administrative position with responsibility for monitoring driver SOP and working with the department to ensure compliance in addition to maintaining & monitoring employee safety

Main Accountabilities

• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
