Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to advance safety culture across the workplace at one of the world’s most innovative companies. You will lead safety programs, conduct daily audits, and ensure associates return home safely while maintaining productivity and efficiency.

As the building’s designated safety champion, you will build relationships, influence positive change, and help write the next chapter in Amazon’s commitment to becoming Earth’s Safest Place to Work.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1 year EHS-related experience or a Bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background or 6 months in safety at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues.

Responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies, audits, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and implement innovative safety solutions.
• Deliver engaging safety training and champion a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and transform safety data into actionable insights.
