Job summary

Amazon in El Paso, TX is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, audits, investigations, and training. You will partner with leadership to implement proactive safety measures and improve the safety culture while maintaining operational efficiency.

The role requires strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, at least 1 year in EHS or a related field (or 6 months with Amazon), and proficiency in Word/Excel. Flexible shifts and site duties are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field or a Bachelor’s in an EHS-related background or 6 months safety role experience with Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety programs through data-driven strategies including audits, investigations and risk assessments.
• Lead safety training and continuous improvement initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advise associates and leadership on safety practices, and translate safety data into actionable narratives.
