Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to drive safety programs and culture across sites in California. You will lead audits, investigations, risk assessments and training to prevent injuries while maintaining productivity.

You will partner with frontline teams and leadership to embed safety as a daily habit and transform data into actionable safety insights. Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field or 6 months in Amazon safety role; or a Bachelor's degree in EHS-related background.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel professionally.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security/personnel issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training to associates.
• Drive data-driven safety programs and continuous improvement.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across the org.
• Transform safety data into narratives to drive engagement and change.
