Job summary

U.S. Engineering Metalworks is seeking a Safety Associate to help implement and continuously improve safety, health, and environmental programs across offices and shop floors.

You will partner with leadership to embed safety into daily operations and support training and communications. The role requires 2–5 years in construction safety, OSHA knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to identify hazards and drive corrective actions on site and in the office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of related experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with safety or service management systems preferred.
• Understanding of construction industry practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Metalworks leadership to embed safety and health programs into daily operations.
• Lead proactive safety inspections on shop floor.
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Support the rollout of safety communication.
• Reinforce safety mentorship culture by encouraging peer-to-peer leadership and recognition of positive safety behavior.
