Block by Block is seeking a Safety Ambassador in Florida to patrol assigned zones on foot or by bike, assist pedestrians, and deter low-level crime. You will interact with the public, gather information, and report incidents while maintaining a professional demeanor.

The role requires a FL Class D Security Licensure, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to work outdoors in all conditions. Retirees and new grads are encouraged to apply, with weekly pay and uniform provisions included.

Qualifications

• Experience required. We will train.
• Valid FL Class D Security Licensure required.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have the physical capacity to walk or traverse (including riding a bike) continuously during an eight-hour shift, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions (free uniforms provided)
• Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.

Responsabilités

• Provide information, assistance, and directions to pedestrians and visitors. Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
• Be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to local authorities via established communication methods. Must be able to articulate an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other identifiers.
• Firmly and courteously request compliance from persons violating low-level quality-of-life crimes, such as panhandling, loitering, disruptive behavior, etc.
• Actively acknowledge and engage pedestrians with a friendly greeting/smile in order to provide directions and city information.
• Responsible for making a specified number of visits to zone businesses to share information and gather contact information.
• Must be able to complete basic daily reports of tasks completed, which requires being proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.

Salary Range

Job Description

Pay Range: $18.82to $18.82 per hour (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Pay Day!)

Shift/Schedule:

• Thu., Fri. & Sat. from 5:00pm to 2:00pm + 2 additional days

Valid FL Class D Security Licensure REQUIRED

Valid FL Driver's License PREFERRED
