Block by Block is hiring a Safety Ambassador to patrol outdoor spaces in Grand Rapids, MI, ensuring safety and friendliness for the community. The role requires reporting incidents, guiding pedestrians, and interacting with the public in a courteous manner.

The position operates weekends with a 3:00pm to 11:30pm shift. A valid driver’s license is required, and training will be provided. English literacy is essential to complete reports and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience required. We will train.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Responsabilités

• Patrol the assigned zone on foot and/or bike to deter unwanted behavior.
• Provide information, assistance, and directions to pedestrians and visitors.
• Report suspicious activity to local authorities using established methods.
• Request compliance for low-level quality-of-life offenses.
• Engage pedestrians with friendly greetings and city information.
• Complete daily task reports in English.

Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times.* Be watchful for unwanted behaviors or criminal activity and report to local authorities via established communication methods.
