Florida Gateway College in Lake City, FL seeks an Administrative Support Specialist for the Safety and Security division, performing confidential clerical duties, coordinating emergency preparedness, and maintaining records.
The role supports the Director of Safety and Security, manages access control, incident documentation, and communications to campus community, with attention to deadlines and compliance.
Provides specialized administrative and operational support for the Florida Gateway College’s safety and security functions. Perform duties requiring independent judgement, confidentiality, coordination, and familiarity with safety procedures, security systems, access control and emergency preparedness. High school graduate plus five years secretarial or clerical experience. Proficient in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL. A high school equivalency diploma from the State Department of Education may be substituted for high school graduation. Additional education may be substituted on a year for year basis for required experience in related areas. Special consideration will be given to applicants with an associate degree or certificate in related area.
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction). Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid). Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Use of fingers.
