Carrington College is seeking a Safety Representative to ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role includes observing, reporting, completing incident reports, and assisting with facilities tasks.
Typical schedule includes mornings and afternoons with some weekends for emergencies; no supervisory responsibilities. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills are essential.
The Safety Representative provides a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by observing and reporting potential concerns; completing incident reports, reporting unusual situations and potential illegal activity. Additionally, the Safety position will have some facilities support responsibilities.
The starting pay range for this position is $16.90-$17.80 per hour.
Mon-Thurs 7am to 3:30pm with 30 min lunch OR 7am to 4pm with an hour lunch. Fridays 8am to 5pm. Possible weekend hours in case of emergencies. May cover the front desk staff to relieve them for lunch and breaks and other ad hoc duties.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or relevant experience preferred.
Ability to read, write and comprehend in English. Ability to effectively write business related correspondence and incident reports. Able to present information in one-on-one and in groups.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; ability to problem solve with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft Office, MS Word and MS Outlook as well as Incident Reporting and other campus software programs.
