Job summary

R.H. White is seeking a Safety Advisor I to promote a proactive safety culture across water, wastewater, energy, and construction projects. You will partner with project teams and subcontractors to ensure OSHA compliance and adherence to company safety policies.

You will conduct routine safety audits, assist in trainings, participate in incidents investigations, and stay current on federal and state regulations while supporting safety initiatives and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of safety experience in construction or related fields.
• ASP or other safety certification (or actively pursuing).
• Basic knowledge of federal and state safety regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency; experience with AI safety apps (FYLD) and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Promote Company Safety and Code of Conduct Policies and support a safe workplace.
• Conduct routine safety audits, identify hazards, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in development and delivery of safety training for employees and subcontractors.
• Respond to incidents and participate in investigations to identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Incorporate safety considerations in pre-planning meetings and project activities.
• Review safety docs and Safety Data Sheets to support hazard communication compliance.
• Stay current on federal/state safety regulations and pursue ongoing training.
• Perform additional duties to support departmental safety initiatives.
