Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Safeguards and Security Specialist Energy for our Oak Ridge, TN office. You will serve as the Safeguards and Security representative for the facility, oversee access control, and interface with Isotek personnel in daily operations.

The role includes on-site support for Special Nuclear Material movements and participation in ISMS-driven safety culture. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, an associate degree in a security-related field preferred, and 3+ years

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in security-related field preferred.
• Three (3) years experience in safeguards and security preferred.
• Familiar with DOE Order in physical security.
• Protective Force experience preferred.
• Performance Testing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 90–100 pounds.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain PMC-410, PMC-420DE, VAC-200 certifications.
• Ability to obtain HRP certification and DOE 'Q' access authorization.
• Applicants must pass federal background investigation and meet access requirements for classified information.
• Real ID compliant identification to access the work location.
• U.S. citizenship required for AtkinsRéalis/Isotek Systems Project positions.

We are seeking a Safeguards and Security Specialist Energy, to join our Team in our Oak Ridge, TN office.

Your role

• Stops work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions potentially affecting personnel safety or environmental risk.
• Serves as Safeguards and Security representative for assigned facility.
• Oversees access control functions and entry requirements for designated facility.
• Provides functional interface with Isotek Operations and Maintenance personnel in daily operations.
• Services as on-scene support of Special Nuclear Material movements.
• Assists Isotek Performance Testing with limited notice, no notice, and scheduled performance tests of Isotek programs contained in approved performance testing plans.
• Serves as Lock and Key Custodian for the facility.
• Supports tours, demonstrations, and visitor access to facility.
• Performs escort duties as required.
• Supports the execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and core functions of the Isotek Safety Culture.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

About you

• Ability to obtain Human Reliability Program certification and DOE "Q" access authoorization.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet eligibility. requirements for access to classified information or matter.
• Applicants must have Real ID compliant identification to access the work location.
• U.S. citizenship required for AtkinsRéalis/Isotek Systems Project positions.
• Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $65,000 - $109,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
