Job summary

MTM Transit is hiring full-time and part-time drivers for the Hilo, Hawaii location. You will provide safe, reliable transportation for older adults and people with disabilities, delivering top-tier customer service and ensuring on-time pickups and drop-offs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• No suspensions or major violations in last 3 years; clean motor-vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate defensive driving skills.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading and mobility devices.
• Ensure on-time pickup and drop-off of customers.
• Show sensitivity to needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required.
• Complete required paperwork and use tablets or electronic devices.
