Job summary

GCyber in Washington, DC seeks a Release Train Engineer to enable PI execution, optimize flow, and manage cross-team risks in a secure federal IT modernization program using SAFe. You will coordinate schedules across teams and collaborate with security, architecture, and operations to ensure delivery of secure digital capabilities in a classified environment.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of relevant experience, DoD 8570/8140 certifications, and a strong background in Agile software delivery

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
DoD 8570/8140 certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
Eight to twelve years of relevant experience.
Experience leading Agile software delivery as a Release Train Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead Agile Release Train events and Lean-Agile practices, including PI planning and Inspect & Adapt.
Coordinate software, architecture, test, security, deployment, and release schedules across teams.
Maintain program objectives, dependencies, risks, and commitments.
Track feature execution and communicate progress, risks, and release readiness.
Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners, teams, and leaders in SAFe and flow.
Identify impediments and coordinate mitigation of dependencies and risks.
Partner with program management, architecture, and operations to align delivery.
Understand system architecture to explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.
