Job summary

Bethany Christian Services is seeking a driver/case support role in Illinois to assist with transportation for clients, scheduling appointments, and documenting visits. The position requires reliability, strong organization, and compassionate client service in a faith-based setting.

The role involves maintaining notes for case managers, coordinating with supervisors, and complying with background checks and driving requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.

• Must be reliable with time-sensitive deadlines and tasks.
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions (MS Office).
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and 3+ years driving in the U.S.
• Pass MVR check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage.
• Pass criminal history screen including state and local child protection registries.
• Commitment to agency faith statements and mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to clients for medical appointments, foster homes, and other social services.
• Assist with scheduling medical and dental appointments for clients.
• Draft and maintain notes from visits and share with case manager.
• Monitor home visits with clients.
• Complete paperwork and phone calls for the case manager as requested.
• Schedule and prioritize work with supervisor and teammates.
• Report transportation issues affecting timely service.
• Attend trainings and meetings as assigned.
• May assist with file audits and small purchases.
• Participate in Bethany events as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

How Your Role Makes a Difference

• Provide transportation to clients not limited to medical appointments, foster homes, and other social agencies;
• Assist with scheduling medical and dental appointments for clients;
• Draft and maintain notes related to interactions and areas of concern observed during visits and share notes with assigned case manager;
• Monitor home visits with clients;
• Complete paperwork and phone calls for case manager, as requested;
• Schedule and prioritize work duties in partnership with supervisor and other team members;
• Report transportation problems that occur and impede timely transportation request;
• Attend trainings and meetings as assigned by supervisor;
• May assist with file audits and small purchase requests;
• May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage;
• Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
