Job summary

Bethany Christian Services in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a UC Case Aide to provide essential transportation and support for clients, including medical and legal appointments. Ideal candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish and possess a High School Diploma.

In this role, you'll report behaviors during transport, assist with administrative tasks, and provide language interpretation. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license and at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• Must pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.
• Capable of showing proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to clients for medical and legal appointments.

How Your Role Makes a Difference

• Provide transportation to clients for but not limited to medical appointments, legal appointments, hearings, and other social agencies;
• Effectively report the behaviors of children during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team;
• Provide assistance with intake and discharge related transportation to include travel from state-to-state for reunification with a sponsor;
• Assist the medical team with administrative tasks, as needed;
• Provide language interpretation to clients for appointments out in the community, when needed;
• Provide supervision of youth in the classroom, when needed;
• Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times on the job and especially when supervising youth;
• Maintain an adequate knowledge of trauma and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma‑informed environment;
• Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department;
• May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What Will Make You Successful

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Bilingual: English and Spanish;
• Knowledge of trauma and willing to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma‑informed environment;
• Demonstrated organizational skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Must be willing and able to provide language interpretation services;
• Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service;
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail;
• Must be reliable with time‑sensitive deadlines and tasks;
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
• Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
• Exhibit integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care;
• Possess the relevant experience and/or qualifications to work with these clients and clients with special needs; and be properly trained and licensed, as necessary.
• Must be able to show proof of immunity to vaccine‑preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route;
• TDap or Tdap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed one childhood, one Tdap dose in adulthood.
• Results of medical examination (as required by State Licensing, including results of TB tests and immunization records).
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
