Job summary

BCforward is seeking a SAFe Agile Scrum Master with strong JIRA experience to join our ATM delivery team in Charlotte, NC. This contract role focuses on coaching teams, removing impediments, and driving predictable delivery within a SAFe framework.

You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage backlogs with the Product Owner, support PI planning, and ensure compliance with JIRA workflows. Hybrid work arrangement requires three days onsite per week, with start in November.

Qualifications

• Proficient JIRA skills for backlog management, reporting, and compliance workflows.
• SAFe training or certification with practical experience in PI events and ART ceremonies.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Experience leading 1-2 Scrum teams, preferably in financial services or ATM domains.

Responsibilities

• Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices and Agile principles.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews/Demos, and Retrospectives.
• Operate within a Scaled Agile model to lead team-level pre-planning and PI Planning and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums and ART syncs.
• Help define and uphold team agreements including Definition of Ready and Definition of Done.
• Ensure a healthy product and Sprint backlog in partnership with the Product Owner.
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal.
• Measure delivery, maturity, and performance using meaningful metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• When needed, step in as Product Owner support to assist with creation of Epics and User Stories.
• Support BoFA MRA compliance for JIRA Epics and User Stories.

Onsite expectation: Hybrid, minimum three days onsite per week.
