Job summary

NYC Department for the Aging (NYC Aging) seeks a Community Coordinator to manage SADCs registration and related payments in New York City. You will handle data entry, records maintenance, and customer inquiries to support an age-inclusive city.

Responsibilities include tracking registrations, processing payments, generating weekly and monthly reports, and coordinating field visits with the Ombuds Office Director. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of experience in community work or related duties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with six years of related experience required.
  • Equivalent education/experience accepted with at least one year of the preferred experience.

Responsibilities

  • Answer SADCs questions about completing and updating their registration.
  • Track new SADC requests and guide through the process.
  • Register payments and manage revenue records and reconciliations.
  • Unlock/relock SADC accounts after payments clear.
  • Notify SADCs when records are updated or payments clear.
  • Monitor PayPoint and City Pay Research Tool for declined payments.
  • Maintain registration change records and respond to inquiries.
  • Generate reports on registrations, complaints, revenue, and registrations weekly/monthly.
  • Perform field visits to verify information and serve summonses as directed.
