Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Three years’ experience in a childcare setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid training.
• Knowledge of safety issues and emergency procedures for school-age children.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming classroom environment for children, families and visitors.
• Supervise children during activities and use positive discipline techniques.
• Communicate with parents, address concerns promptly and provide updates.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and supervise staff-to-child ratios.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities for ages 5-12.
• Check children into the SACC program and ensure proper staffing.
• Follow district policies and licensing guidelines; observe and report behavior issues.
• Be available for extended hours during early dismissals or breaks.
• Prepare for emergencies and assist as needed.
• Present a professional image and maintain confidentiality.
