Job summary

The Auburn YMCA-WEIU is seeking a SACC Director to plan, organize and lead a comprehensive enrichment program for children in the Before and After School programs. Under the Camp & SACC Director, you will ensure safety, positive guidance, and a healthy, engaging environment.

You will coordinate daily activities, monitor OCFS compliance, supervise staff, maintain records, and support staff development and parent communications to promote a quality program aligned with YMCA values.

• Promote safe and age-appropriate activities.
• Support and promote quality performance supporting high staff retention.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and lead all daily SACC program activities in line with YMCA policies and safety.
• Post and maintain a monthly calendar of activities.
• Observe and follow NYS OCFS guidelines for SACC.
• Act as a positive role model through appropriate speech, actions and attire.
• Provide a safe, healthy, moral and fun environment; treat all children with dignity.
• Supervise behavior management with positive guidance and age-appropriate expectations.
• Maintain clear records of attendance, expenses and registrations; assist audits as needed.
• Conduct monthly fire drills, safety checks and OCFS-required reports.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings; pursue 15 hours of continuing education yearly.
• Work with district to meet program needs and maintain open communication with staff and parents.
