Job summary

Aquatech is hiring a Junior Operator for our Sabine Pass, LA location. You will monitor and control industrial water treatment processes, perform chemistry checks, and maintain daily operation logs in a hands-on role reporting to the O&M Manager.

The job requires familiarity with cross-process systems and strong attention to safety and detail. Responsibilities include handling chemicals, sampling, maintaining equipment, and assisting in plant maintenance as needed on a shift basis under the

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants with multiple processes.
• Knowledge of pretreatment, demineralization, RO, and ZLD is preferred.
• Basic water chemistry knowledge and ability to perform simple lab analyses.
• Record keeping, operation logs, and safety compliance are required.
• Exposure to PLC/HMI based systems; ability to troubleshoot filtration and membrane systems.
• Experience with valves, pumps, and instruments; awareness of safety practices.
• TWIC card holder and high school diploma are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operation and keep accurate records of process data.
• Carry out quality checks and chemistry control; report abnormalities.
• Handle loading/unloading of chemicals and treated water into transport trucks.
• Oversee filter press operation and coordinate sludge storage/movement.
• Assist plant operators with sampling and routine maintenance as needed.

The plant consists of a large installation of ACF, MMF, RO, and FEDITM. The hours are a DuPont 12 / Cheniere shift. The Junior Operator will report to the O&M Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will considered a Non-Exempt employee.The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, organized, ability to interpret instructions, and attention to detail.
