Job summary

CXT Software seeks a SaaSOps Engineer to own a production SaaS platform across Azure first and AWS second, writing infrastructure code, building pipelines, and leading incident RCA after outages. You will collaborate daily with Engineering, Support, and Security using Terraform, GitHub Actions, Grafana Cloud, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, CloudWatch, incident.io, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a cloud engineer with Azure/AWS production workloads.
• Terraform CI/CD pipelines implementation.
• PowerShell automation in production.
• Windows Server and SQL Server production experience.
• On-call experience with incident RCA writing.

Responsibilities

• Build and modify Azure and AWS infrastructure in Terraform.
• Maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for deployments.
• Provision, upgrade, and tear down customer environments.
• Operate Windows Server and SQL Server estates; patching, backups, performance.
• Automate repeat operational work in PowerShell.
• Carry on-call: respond to incidents, fix root causes, and write RCA.
• Enforce least-privilege access; collect SOC 2 evidence; keep runbooks current.

Are you a cloud engineer who runs production SaaS on Azure and AWS and owns it end-to-end, from the Terraform code to the RCA?

We are looking for a SaaSOps Engineer to own a production SaaS platform across several product lines and two clouds, Azure first and AWS second. You will write the infrastructure code, build the pipelines, run the Windows and SQL Server estate, own the alerts, and lead the response when something breaks, from provisioning a customer environment to writing the RCA after an incident. You will work daily with Engineering, Support, and Security, in Terraform, GitHub Actions, Grafana Cloud, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, CloudWatch, incident.io, Jira, and Confluence. Reporting to the Director of SaaSOps, you will shape how the platform is built, changed, and monitored.

Responsibilities

• Build and change Azure and AWS infrastructure in Terraform.
• Build and maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Provision, upgrade, and tear down customer environments.
• Operate Windows Server (Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Active Directory, Group Policy) and SQL Server / Azure SQL: patching, backups, restores, and performance.
• Automate repeat operational work in PowerShell.
• Carry on-call: keep alerts paging on customer impact, respond to incidents, fix the cause, and write the RCA.
• Enforce least-privilege access, collect SOC 2 evidence, and keep runbooks current.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a cloud engineer running production workloads (compute, managed databases, identity, networking) on Azure or AWS.
• You have deployed and changed production infrastructure with Terraform through CI/CD pipelines you built or maintained.
• You write PowerShell automation used in production.
• You have run SQL Server or Azure SQL in production: backups, restores, and performance troubleshooting.
• You have carried production on-call and taken incidents from evidence to a single root cause and a written RCA a teammate can act on without follow-up questions.
• You work 08:00-17:00 ET, Monday to Friday, and join the after-hours on-call rotation.
• Professional English at C1 level or above, spoken and written.
• You can be engaged as an independent contractor and can start within one month of an offer and no later than December 31, 2026.

Nice to have*Production experience on Azure.

• Windows Server administration in production (Remote Desktop Services, IIS, Active Directory, Group Policy).
• AZ-104, AZ-305 or AZ-400, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator Associate.
• Experience preparing SOC 2 audit evidence.
• Uses AI-assisted coding and operations tools at work.
