Whip Media, a SaaS company serving the entertainment industry, is seeking an Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting, run the monthly close, manage multi-entity and multi-currency, and lead a remote team. This hands-on role emphasizes automation and AI in modern accounting.

The role requires 6+ years of accounting, 3+ in SaaS, strong US GAAP knowledge, and QuickBooks Online expertise; senior level requires 8+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 6+ years progressive accounting experience; 8+ for Senior Accounting Manager.
• At least 3 years in a SaaS or software company.
• Advanced, hands-on QuickBooks Online experience with multi-entity and multi-currency.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, especially ASC 606 for software and subscription contracts.
• Experience managing external financial statement audits as primary contact.
• Experience managing remote staff or contractors.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; able to build reconciliations and models.
• Ability to read and interpret customer and vendor contracts for accounting and billing impact.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly, quarterly and year-end close in QuickBooks Online; journal entries, accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, reconciliations.
• Consolidate multi-entity group (US parent + UK subsidiary); manage multi-currency accounting and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and leadership/board reporting; manage lender reporting.
• Oversee billing, AR, deferred revenue schedules and collections; ensure accurate invoicing.
