Job summary

ATCO Rubber Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for the Assembly area in Sacramento, CA. The role requires leading a team of 35-50 hourly employees on the first shift, onsite, with a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule.

You will oversee productivity, uptime, safety, and quality, coordinating with the Plant Manager and supervisors to meet production goals. The position includes hiring, discipline, and training responsibilities, with a focus on a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

ATCO – PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – Assembly (Sacramento, CA) – Onsite 1st Shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

POSITION SUMMARY

ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who has exceptional supervisory and leadership skills to lead a production team of 35-50 hourly employees in Sacramento, California. This position will supervise and monitor employees’ productivity and oversee the safe use of equipment in a manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBLITY

• Responsible for the quality, production output, and efficiencies of machines.
• Meet or exceed all production schedules and set goals
• Assign responsibilities to production employees and monitor their performance
• Coordinates with Plant manager and other supervisors to resolve production challenges, recommends improvements to processes, and ensures alignment with organizational goals
• Serves as the shift leader, motivates and guides employees to improve productivity, product quality, and efficiency.
• Conducts and supports hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions; manages production schedules and ensures all records are accurate and up to date
• Ensure all employees are trained to work safely and efficiently
• Effectively counsel employees per company policies
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate expectations
• Maintain production equipment running and reduce unplanned downtime
• Monitor, control and reduce scrap or waste
• Motive employees to achieve production targets
• Promote a positive and safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages all production employees and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of the employees.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position working 40-45 hours per week, Monday-Friday and may include occasional Saturdays 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
