The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Program Assistant for the Carolina Higher Education Opportunity Programs. Established in 2012, the Carolina Higher Education Opportunity Programs (CHEOP) office includes the NC Health Careers Access Program (NC-HCAP) and TRiO Programs (Upward Bound and McNair Scholars).
Through these programs, CHEOP promotes access to college, graduate, and professional health schools for individuals from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups, first-generation students, and those from rural or low-income backgrounds. The programs aim to enhance academic performance, retention, and personal and professional development to promote graduation in secondary and post-secondary education.
The program assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Program sessions run from May 21 to July 18, 2025. We are hiring for one program assistant per session, with the following fixed schedule:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience from an accredited institution.
