Job summary

Barrington James is seeking a true epidemiologist with deep real-world evidence (RWE) expertise to lead evidence generation for rare tumour assets. The role spans strategy and hands-on execution from designing non-interventional studies (NIS) to regulatory-facing evidence packages.

You will design endpoints, manage external control arms, and collaborate with regulatory, clinical development, data science, and cross-functional teams in a flat-structured environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine epidemiology background with strong real-world evidence (RWE) expertise.
• Experience in non-interventional study (NIS) design, external control arms, evidence generation, and regulatory science.
• Oncology or rare disease experience is essential.
• Desire to operate across both strategic and hands-on/execution work; not purely strategic.
• Strong communication skills to simplify dense methodology for varied audiences.
• Comfort working with senior product and clinical development stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead RWE strategy and end-to-end execution for rare tumour assets.
• Design and scope non-interventional studies (NIS), including defining endpoints and evidence questions.
• Own external control arm strategy and evidence generation.
• Source, evaluate and select vendors to support studies.
• Lead regulatory-facing interactions and evidence generation with regulatory and clinical development teams.
• Present project strategy to the project strategy team and global product leaders.
• Translate complex RWE concepts into clear input for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collaborate with clinical measurable sciences, data science, and patient-focused teams.
