Job summary
VetCare Animal Hospital in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. Qualifications
- 3+ years veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing RVT in Colorado
- Proficient in client education and anesthesia care
- Dental prophylaxis and radiography experience
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Radiology safety and positioning
- Accurate medication administration
- In-house diagnostics and record-keeping
- Safe, low-stress patient handling
- Experience with pocket pets/reptiles preferred
Responsibilities
- Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, assisting, and recovery
- Perform dental prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintain detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients
- Identify patient concerns and support case management
- Educate clients to build strong relationships
