Job summary

PPL Motor Homes is seeking skilled RV Technicians to diagnose and repair a wide range of RV systems. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and interior components, perform routine maintenance, and install upgrades.

The team emphasizes quality work and customer service in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have at least 1 year of repair experience, be able to lift 25 pounds, possess a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in repair, maintenance, mechanical, or technical service work.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and interior components.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection work on RVs.
• Install accessories and upgrades such as awnings, backup cameras, slide toppers, hitches, furniture, and other RV components.
• Complete repair orders accurately and document diagnostics, parts used, and repairs performed.
• Communicate with service advisors and managers regarding repair status and estimates.

Compensation

$20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and interior components
• Perform routine maintenance and inspection work on RVs
• Install accessories and upgrades such as awnings, backup cameras, slide toppers, hitches, furniture, and other RV components
• Complete repair orders accurately and document diagnostics, parts used, and repairs performed
• Communicate with service advisors and managers regarding repair status, additional issues, and estimated completion times
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Participate in training and stay current on RV products, systems, and repair techniques

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in repair, maintenance, mechanical, or technical service work
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in changing temperatures and shop conditions
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and move heavier items with assistance
• Basic personal tools preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• RV industry experience
• Trade certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field
• RVTI, RVIA, or other industry certifications
• Experience with diagnostic systems and service documentation
