Job summary

National Indoor RV Centers | NIRVC is seeking an experienced RV Service Technician for our service shop in Lebanon, TN. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain RV electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems, and install upgrades to enhance customer RVs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of RV service experience.
• Deep knowledge of RV construction and systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
• Excellent attention to detail and independence.
• Strong customer service and professional appearance.
• Commitment to safety and clean workspace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver"s license 3+ years and pass background/drug screen.
• ASE/RVIA certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing, repairs, and maintenance on RVs (electrical, appliances, carpentry, plumbing).
• Install and upgrade accessories to enhance RVs.
• Coordinate with service for authorizations and factory approvals for warranty work.
• Track materials and equipment used for accuracy.
• Lead a thorough pre-delivery inspection with customer walkthroughs.

Compensation

Earning up to $50 per flat‑rate hour with an additional $6 bonus per billed hour. High performers can earn a bonus exceeding $6,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic testing, repairs, and maintenance on RVs, including electrical, appliance, carpentry, and plumbing systems.
• Install and upgrade accessories and components to transform RVs into dream machines.
• Collaborate with the service department to obtain work authorizations and factory approvals for warranty repairs.
• Track materials and equipment used to ensure efficiency and accuracy on each job.
• Deliver a stellar pre‑delivery inspection experience, providing walk‑through demonstrations that leave customers satisfied.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an RV service technician, with deep knowledge of RV construction, systems, and components.
• Exceptional diagnostic and repair skills across a wide range of RV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Professional appearance and strong commitment to customer service.
• Adherence to safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace.
• High level of credibility, responsiveness, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ASE/RVIA certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license without suspensions for 3+ years.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.

Working Conditions

• Primary work location is the service shop.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, and bending are required.
• Handling of heavy equipment or objects may be necessary.
• Navigation of tight spaces and heights required.
• Exposure to loud noises, fumes, or chemicals, with safety precautions in place.

All service positions operate on a 12‑hour workday, 3‑4 days per week, with 3 or 4 days off per week, depending on schedule. In 2024 all service & parts departments will move to a 7‑day customer‑focused schedule at participating locations.
