Job summary

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat‑Rate) to join our RV service team. You will diagnose and repair RV coach systems, generators, and coach bodies, applying electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical skills to keep units safe and roadworthy.

You should be detail‑driven, self‑motivated, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals not already certified, and the role offers on‑site work with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Trade certification or relevant work experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or maintenance.
  • Minimum 1 year service tech experience or related field.
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document diagnostic tests and repair or replacement services.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Track parts and materials used in repairs.
  • Keep supervisor informed of work progress.
  • Ensure final work meets quality standards and is inspected.

Service Technician (Flat‑Rate)

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat–Rate) for our growing team. We are ideally looking for someone with advanced diagnostic and repair skills for Recreational Vehicle (RV) coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful RV Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self‑motivated and well‑versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals not already certified. If you have experience in any or all of these following fields, we want to talk to you: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, RV service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide and document complete diagnostic test and repair or replacement services to customers.
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor informed of work progress.
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
Requirements
  • Certification from college or technical school in a trade field (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, etc.) is helpful but applicable work experience is also considered.
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related field, preferred.
  • RVIA certification is helpful but not required.
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
  • Possible exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
  • Must furnish own hand/shop tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs with assistive devices.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
Compensation

The pay range for this role considers several factors in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22.00 – $53.48 hourly.
