Job summary

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc., based in Nappanee, Indiana, is seeking an experienced Group Leader to join our RV manufacturing team. You will manage, lead, and motivate production staff to meet daily targets, resolve issues, and train new hires under the Plant Superintendent’s direction.

As a hands-on leader, you will ensure quality, safety, and continuous improvement across departments, empower employees, and communicate product changes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Group Leader experience (resume required).
• Extensive RV product knowledge across systems (Electrical, Plumbing, Shelling, Floors, Chassis).
• Familiarity with RVIA codes is a plus.

As our next experienced Group Leader. This person will manage, lead, and motivate employees to achieve daily operations, resolve issues, and train staff to ensure quality targets are met and drive efficiency with the Plant Superintendent’s direction.

• Manage daily tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and support overall department goals.
• Train new employees, provide expert advice, and foster a positive team environment.
• Exhibit leadership by fully sustaining the mission, values, and principles of the company.
• Achieving goals and objectives in support of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
• Empower employees in your group to take ownership of their job.
• Make sure that all areas of the work place are safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately to plant superintendent.
• Ensure high-quality service and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate to employee’s changes in product, policy, and processes.
• Assist in documenting processes and work instructions as needed.
• Report potential shortages of material to Superintendent.
• Maintain scrap reports on a daily basis and other daily reports as needed.
• Be a working member of the team to whatever degree assigned by Superintendent.
• Identify and communicate issues that may require disciplinary action.
• Verify quality and completeness of each unit before it moves to the next station.
• Communicate to the Superintendent of any extra units for extra work performed, etc.
• 3 years of Group Leader experience (Experience must be noted on your resume)
• Extensive product knowledge of RV’s, in one or all areas: Electrical, Plumbing, Shelling, Slide outs, Floors, Chassis, Decking, Roof, Final, Parts, etc.
• Knowledge of RVIA Codes a plus.
• Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills.
