Job summary

fab2 is seeking hands-on engineers to build production Rust software for semiconductor fabrication equipment. You will run near-hardware code, sequence microcontroller-based systems, and enable calibration, diagnostics, telemetry, and tool operation in a modern software-defined fab.

Join our Tool Software team to ship real-time Linux applications, data-driven metrology, and robust control software, collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to push chip manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong Rust for systems-level Linux apps.
• Hands-on Python in data analysis/diagnostics.
• Track record shipping Linux daemons/services and RT systems.
• Familiarity with gRPC and protobuf.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time Linux applications for equipment control and process automation.
• Design and implement finite state machines for tool operation.
• Develop data acquisition, telemetry, and metrology software, including computer vision and image processing.
• Implement gRPC services and Protocol Buffer APIs.
• Build graphical interfaces for operations, diagnostics, and data visualization.
• Own major features end-to-end with hardware and process engineering partners.
