Job summary

fab2 is seeking embedded software engineers to build the software that powers our semiconductor fabrication tools. You will develop firmware for real-time control of processing equipment, from board bring-up and driver development to control logic and production deployment.

This end‑to‑end role involves debugging across hardware and software boundaries and collaborating with electronics and mechanical engineers on system requirements, controls, and tool integration, plus Linux-based Rust apps

Qualifications

BS in CS/Physics/CE/EE or equivalent with practical software experience.
At least 3 years of real-time embedded software experience.
C for microcontrollers and Python for diagnostics.
Experience taking embedded projects from concept to production.
Knowledge of ADC, GPIO, PWM, SPI, I2C and CAN.
Experience with actuators, sensors and DSP.

Responsibilities

Develop microcontroller firmware for semiconductor processing equipment.
Design real-time Linux applications for equipment control and process automation.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers on requirements and controls implementation.
