Job summary

Environmental Conservation's Division of Water in Alaska seeks a Village Safe Water (VSW) Engineer II to oversee planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects in rural communities.

You will supervise a team of engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers, travel to remote sites up to several trips per year, and support public health through safe drinking water initiatives.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• One year of professional experience as an Engineering Associate 1 (or the equivalent) with the State of Alaska or elsewhere.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise funded planning, design, and construction projects using civil, environmental, and sanitary engineering concepts.
• Lead and supervise a team of 1 to 5 engineers, environmental specialists, and/or project managers.
