Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Psychiatrist for a rural Eastern Oregon hospital in La Grande. The role offers permanent, full-time hours with four 10-hour shifts and a day schedule, including relocation assistance.

You will contribute to expanding behavioral health and primary care services in a Level IV Trauma Center. Required are an MD, ACGME psychiatry residency, a current license, and board certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in General Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a rural population.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor progress for efficacy and safety.
• Collaborate with Primary Care and Behavioral Health specialists for holistic care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team and clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting.
• Provide consultation within Level IV Trauma Center for acute stabilization.
• Engage in community initiatives to reduce stigma and improve access.

Education

MD (Medical Degree) from an accredited school

ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry

Active, unrestricted State Medical License

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry
