Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ, invites a Rural Health Assistant Director to lead SciTech Scity’s Rural Health Transformation initiative. Join a senior operational role overseeing strategy, multi-stakeholder partnerships, and execution across New Jersey with travel across the state.

The role includes supervising two Rural Health Program Managers and one Senior Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Director, and managing day-to-day program delivery within a grant-funded four-year span.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of professional experience in healthcare, program management, consulting, public health, nonprofit management, government, or health system operations.
• Experience supervising staff and managing team performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Rural Health Transformation portfolio with clear workplans and measurable outcomes.
• Oversee integrated execution from provider discovery through implementation, measurement, and replication.
• Supervise 2 Rural Health Program Managers and 1 Senior Coordinator with coaching and accountability.
• Drive program objectives across multiple workstreams and escalate decisions when needed.
• Maintain portfolio-level view to identify shared infrastructure and allocation of resources.
• Ensure project plans, timelines, budgets, risk mitigation, documentation, dashboards, and reporting are consistent and high quality.
• Support Senior Director in planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement of the operating model.
