Job summary

The Florida Department of Health seeks a Government Operations Consultant II to serve as a SORH Coordinator within the Office of Rural Health. This 30-hour-per-week position assists with coordination and implementation of federal State Office of Rural Health grant activities, including managing nine Rural Health Network projects, developing health communications, and coordinating stakeholder meetings.

The role develops and disseminates health resources and technical assistance to rural health

Qualifications

Knowledge of public health, public administration or health care or social services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write web content, factsheets and grant applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
Ability to develop and coordinate meetings/calls with diverse rural health stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assist with coordination and implementation of federal State Office of Rural Health grant activities.
Coordinate nine Rural Health Network projects and develop health communications.
Disseminate health resources and provide technical assistance to rural health partners across Florida.
