Job summary

Florida Department of Health seeks a proactive OPS Government Operations Consultant II to support the Office of Rural Health. This role coordinates SORH grant activities, develops and disseminates health resources, and assists with agendas, meetings, and stakeholder communications.

Based in Tallahassee, the position is part-time (up to 30 hours/week) and focuses on collaboration with rural hospitals, networks, and councils to improve access to care. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in social services, public health or health care education preferred.
• Ability to develop health communication tools and grant-related content.
• Experience coordinating meetings and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director with HRSA grant applications and reporting.
• Coordinate and disseminate health resources, updates and notices to rural stakeholders.
• Develop agendas, coordinate meetings, and support collaboration among partners.
• Update DOH webpages and create factsheets and one-pagers.
• Provide technical assistance and support for rural health programs.
