Job summary

Pinal County is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutrition counseling and support for the WIC program and related community health nutrition services. You will work with high-risk clients, perform assessments, and help with breastfeeding education under supervision within a collaborative care team.

The role focuses on counseling, education, and outreach to improve maternal and child health outcomes across the county, with a strong emphasis on serving diverse populations

Qualifications

• Must provide nutrition counseling for diverse client groups including pregnant/postpartum individuals, infants and children.
• Ability to manage high-risk counseling cases and perform complex assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition/breastfeeding counseling for low income, pregnant, breastfeeding women, postpartum women, infants, and children.
• Manage high risk counseling cases and complex assessment.
• Plan and teach classes on nutrition and breastfeeding education.
• Provide outreach programs to explain PHSD services to community groups.
