Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking a Registered Dietitian to deliver nutrition education, counseling, and support for WIC participants, including high-risk perinatal cases. You will assess needs, develop care plans, and document in the WIC system daily while coordinating with the health education team.

The role involves group and individual counseling, breastfeeding support, and collaboration with the care team to optimize nutrition outcomes for low-income families across multiple clinic sites.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited dietetic program and supervised practice completed.
• Registered or eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• At least 1 year perinatal experience preferred for CPSP.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate or ability to obtain.
• Reliable transportation to travel to assigned work sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition education to WIC participants in individual and group settings.
• Provide high-risk WIC participant counseling and develop care plans.
• Document care plans in WIC system within 24 hours of encounters.
• Issue food benefits and instruct participants on use.
• Lead WIC breastfeeding chat groups and document as required.
