Job summary

WhidbeyHealth Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (NP or PA) to support rural health clinics with delegated provider duties. The role focuses on direct patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and mid-level staff in a busy outpatient setting.

Requires WA RN and NP licenses, BLS, and NP or PA certification. Prior NP experience is preferred. Offers a comprehensive benefits package and a stable rural clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or ARNP program.
• 1 year experience as NP preferred.
• Active WA State RN & NP License required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• PA-C candidates must have completed an accredited program and NCCPA exam (when PA path is pursued).

Responsibilities

• Maintains efficient clinic workflow.
• Assesses client education needs.
• Educates with primary care provider on health promotion and illness management.
• Performs laboratory procedures as trained and per protocols.
• Assists providers with medical and surgical procedures.
• Provides direct patient care including blood draws, medications, immunizations and injections.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures confidentiality.
• Provides telephone triage and referral coordination.
• Ensures health and safety standards within the clinic.
