Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is assisting a rural Eastern Oregon hospital in La Grande to recruit a Cardiologist for a permanent, full-time role.

The physician will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care on both outpatient and inpatient services, with access to onsite Echo, EKG, and stress testing. The position emphasizes professional autonomy and work-life balance in a picturesque rural setting.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited school.
• Completion of an accredited Cardiology Fellowship.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Strong skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient and consultative inpatient cardiovascular care.
• Perform and interpret non-invasive studies including echocardiograms, stress tests, and EKG/Holter monitoring.
• Manage long-term cardiac conditions for the local population.
• Supervision of stress testing in the co-located Respiratory Therapy department.
• Interpretation of cardiac imaging, ECGs, and device interrogation reports.
• Management of implantable cardiac devices.
• Perform minor procedures including implantation/removal of loop recorders, cardioversion, and TEE.
• Partner with primary care providers and the hospitalist team to ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Help shape the future of cardiac services within a growing rural healthcare system
